Vera Young has been a quilter most of her long life. She is locally recognized for her excellent hand-quilting of traditional designs. In 2023, she was chosen as the Ag & Art Tour’s honoree for her contribution to Agriculture as a farm wife, and to Art for her quilts. She has won awards at the annual Stories of the Stitch show sponsored by the Arts and Cultural Council of the Twin Counties.
