If you’ve always wondered what a Food Forest is, this the perfect Ag & Art stop for you! Visit the Grayson County Permaculture Garden in Baywood on Saturday, September 6th for a tour of the beautiful garden set against the backdrop of the Church of the Good Shepherd. There will be members of the Grayson County Permaculture Group and Grayson Landcare on hand to educate visitors about the food forest concept.

The Grayson Permaculture Group is a group of people interested in learning more about permaculture and working collaboratively on a food forest garden project with LandCare and the Church of the Good Shepherd.” “Using Permaculture as a framework for gardening and an overall principle for sustainable living, the Permaculture garden and food forest at the Church of the Good Shepherd has provided produce to Food Independence as well as a habitat for pollinators and native plants. It is a model for home and production gardeners alike and a living classroom for habitat improvement and rainwater control.
