SATURDAY TOUR STOP: Church of the Good Shepherd Permaculture Garden, 9441 Grayson Parkway, Galax, VA
I started making windchimes with seashells gathered on our trips to Florida and evolved into used other found and upcycled materials. I then evolved to gourd crafting when my husband started growing them on our farm. I began making birdhouses, gourd lamps and holiday (any) items with gourds. Items such as collages made from vintage costume jewelry, buttons and beads are now beginning to appear on my worktable as I explore using items in various ways. Gourds, though, are presently my main focus.
