About

Spring is in full bloom at Grayson Highlands and the flowers of the park are showing out! Join a Ranger for a Wildflower Wander along Cabin Creek as we look for the delicate blooms of the plant species that thrive throughout the unique ecosystem within the gorge. Trillium, may lily, and wild violets that adorn the trail are just some of the beautiful displays we may encounter.

Participants should be prepared for a moderate to difficult hike through wet and muddy terrain along the 1.7-mile loop. Closed-toe shoes are recommended. Consider bringing your favorite field guide or pre-loading any identification apps you may like to use such as iNaturalist or SEEK on your phone prior to arriving at the park, as service is limited.
