Join us at the Blue Ridge Discovery Center for the fun-filled, family-friendly Mount Rogers Summer Naturalist Rally on August 8-9, 2025!
This two-day nature immersion experience features renowned field biologist Amy Roberts as the keynote speaker on Friday night, presenting on the natural history and conservation of Virginia’s endangered bog turtle.
On Saturday, participants can choose from an incredible array of engaging programs led by expert naturalists, including salamanders, mushrooms, raptors, and pollinators, as well as fun activities like snorkeling and orienteering! Whether you’re interested in exploring wetlands and riparian zones, learning about edible plants, or discovering the fascinating world of macroinvertebrates, this rally offers something for every nature enthusiast seeking to connect with the diverse ecosystems of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
