Log Out, Step Out Guided Hike

Join a Ranger for an unplugged hike that leaves technology behind and replaces it with tools that you create with! Bring your journal or sketchbook and preferred writing or coloring medium to record observations as we wander amongst the whispering trees that give way to long range mountain views. Along the way, we’ll explore feelings associated with not having access to technology, what senses are utilized and emotions you may feel, and how our stress levels are impacted throughout the hike. Participants will have access to field guides to assist with identifications.
We will meet at the Twin Pinnacles trail head behind the Visitor Center for a moderate, but slow hike through the unique Boreal Forest. Expect to walk about 1.3 miles round trip and wear closed-toe footwear suitable for hiking on rocky or muddy terrain.
