About

The Pulitzer Prize winning play, CRIMES OF THE HEART, is coming to the historic 1908 Courthouse in Independence! Written by Beth Henley, who has ties to the area and will be in attendance at some of the shows, CRIMES OF THE HEART revolves around three sisters who reunite after a serious incident at home. Each sister then tries to find her own identity and voice in moving and humorous ways while still managing to find love and solace with each other. Full of hard truths yet still charming and funny, CRIMES OF THE HEART is a play you don’t want to miss! Sponsored by Arts Council of the Twin Counties, the play showcases several talented local actresses and actors and will be the event of the fall season.
