Local photographer and Nature lover Elizabeth Wegmann captures the rugged beauty of Grayson Highlands and the multitude of wildlife living there. Her photography often centers on the famous Wild Highland ponies who roam Wilburn Ridge and Mt Rogers. Perhaps her most famous subject is the beloved stallion Fabio with his flowing blonde mane and striking features. Fabio has since retired from roaming the highlands with the herds to the safety of Rugby Creek Animal Rescue Farm, where Elizabeth will be set up during the Ag & Art Adventure tour. Elizabeth is active with the Wilburn Ridge Pony Association, utilizing her photography skills to help the Association and Rugby Creek Animal Rescue raise funds to continue their missions of conservation and animal protection.
